Since it is coming to the end of Autumn Ms. Keane’s 6th class thought it would be the perfect opportunity to have a conker league. We gathered conkers from around our house and brought them into school, then we poked holes in them, tied them up with colourful strings and had a conker battle.
We would go out at our break with our conkers and battle with friends to try to split one another’s conker. A few won and got into the next round. They were hard to break as they were tough conkers. We all had our techniques and some worked really well while others sadly didn’t work so well and when we tried to break someone else’s conker we ended up breaking our own.
It was really fun and was a great way to end our autumn.
