20161028_141357Hanging apples came from the traditional Hallowe’en game of snap –apple. A cross of wood was hung from the ceiling. On two ends were apples and on the other two ends were lighted candles. It would spin around and the players would try to bite the apple without being burnt by the candles! In modern times we play a much safer version with no candles.

We had great fun trying to bite the apples.
